don't tell dave ramsey.

so corny.

my "baby" is big enough to eat corn on the cob all by herself. wow.

niceness is priceless.

so i was surfing the world wide web & stumbled across OPERATION NICE.
here's a lil blurb about it & i couldn't agree more.
Don't you love it when people go out of their way to be nice? Like when someone waits to hold the door for you. Or when a stranger waves you into a line a traffic. Or even when a coworker shoots you a friendly smile along with a "have a nice day." If everyone was a little bit nicer to the folks they encountered each day, perhaps the world would be a more pleasant place. Operation NICE was initiated to remind you that a little NICE goes a long way.

liv's 15 months! 30 inches tall. and oops. not 20 lbs yet. my scale at home was wrong. she's 19lbs 14 oz. i have been breaking the law for over a month having her "face the front." dont tell. i just gave her a scoop of ice cream to try and hit the big 20.

have i mentioned that i am absolutely the mom i used to make fun of? well i am. i have to REALLY hold off on not talking about my kid all the time. i just had NO IDEA how much fun being a parent is. tons of work too but so much fun. especially this age. so here i go..im going to share all my favorite things our lil stinker does/has accomplished/tricks. i mean c'mon this is a "milestone month." i'm reminding myself that if you "follow" this, you choose to read this..
she twirls like a ballerina. she moos. she barks. both at correct times now. she goes around the room and gives "sugar" to everyone & everything. its the cutest thing ive ever seen. she "drops down looow." (squats). she cleans up her toys. puts everything in her toy bins... including herself. brushes her hair. and her teeth. blows her nose. washes her hands. climbs. rocks her baby and plays the drums. she LOVES being chased. it makes her laugh so hard she gets a lil sick. she says: daddy, momma, poppy, dog, woof, rock, cracker, bye-bye, hi, and cockadoodledo. she hides her shoes in the kitchen cabinets. and last week she pooped in the living room floor. (dont take off your kids diaper until immediately before the bath.)

dutch's birthday was this last weekend. we had a grown-up fun time saturday night and then sunday we took liv to the zoo for the first time. her favorite animal was of course no other than....the dutch cow. not kidding. even got a pic to prove it.

what the?

why is it the middle of july & i'm wearing a sweater?
temps in the 60's here this week. unreal.
if any of my texas peeps need a cool down... come visit!

makes my day..

to see this sight in my rearview mirror..
especially when she put the shades on herself.

i don't know where she gets it..

this is our daughter today at super target..took this with my phone so its a bit blurry. i mean, where in the world would she ever learn to do this?? surely its not her momma..

one of my life goals..

is to teach my baby to dance like this.
have y'all seen this commercial? loves it.
click on the link. happy weekend!

hot mess.

liv calls me daddy. dont ask me why. she points to me and calls me daddy. this week she stood up in her "lil pink chair" and dived head first onto the hardwood floor. she found my "post-it magazine page markers" in my nightstand drawer and stuck 200 of them all over her body.
& the glass door is her new favorite toy..
